We're hiring a
Vice President of Sales

Led by a second-generation team of successful entrepreneurs, VPL is looking for a VP of Sales to fill a newly created position that is focused on selling both supply chain services and new SaaS offerings.   The perfect candidate will inspire a small but growing team of sales professionals to achieve our high growth goals, as we introduce innovative new solutions to the market.  The ideal candidate has both healthcare and supply chain experience, with technology sales experience an extra bonus.  The VP of Sales role is based in Columbus, Ohio and a member of our senior leadership team, reporting to the CEO.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead and motivate the sales team to meet the company’s sales goals
  • Continue the culture of being the most knowledgeable, authentic, and focused sales team in the industry
  • Elevate the team’s success by assisting in creating plans and strategies to achieve individual and company goals
  • Continually evaluate, adjust, and monitor sales process, striving to achieve the most effective sales cycle
  • Define and oversee sales staff compensation and incentive programs that properly motivate the sales team
  • Provide insight into the proper metrics that align with the compensation, incentive and growth goals
  • Present to the leadership team actual vs. budget results, and a corresponding plan to achieve goals
  • Develop sales training programs that enable staff to achieve their potential
  • Provide detailed and accurate sales forecasting
  • Work closely with the marketing team to develop consistent and integrated messaging that supports the sales effort
  • Monitor customer, market, and competitor activity to provide the leadership team with timely information to effectively develop strategies
  • Travel for in-person meetings several times a month with prospects and customers to support the sales team and develop key relationships. 

What You’ll Need

  • Demonstrated experience leading a highly successful sales team
  • Proven experience monitoring and evaluating sales representative’s progress against goals
  • Proven experience in hiring and on-boarding sales representatives
  • Experience with hospital and health system sales
  • Experience with supply chain sales
  • Preferred experience selling services and SaaS solutions, in a high growth environment
  • Proven experience building and growing a new market offering
  • Ability to inspire the team with your confidence, ability, and winning attitude
  • Ability to adapt to the changing demands of a very fast-growing company, including being flexible in your thinking and approach to achieving goals.
